They do it to recently emancipated freedman too. Sometimes you have to adapt their mindset and be just as insidious as they are. Out do them in their own game or what not.

I looked at some of the story. More other story was they did break him. I think it took like six years. I’m not sure but that’s a strong brother though.

Jail is not slavery. Slaves were taken without breaking any laws; they were taken to a foreign land to work the land and had no rights. Criminals go to prison for breaking laws they are given (lawlessness). Some criminals work the land, while others don’t work at all—they just wake up and do nothing. That’s not slavery. Criminals forfeited their rights by breaking them. Lastly, comparing the use of the penitentiary to slavery is just a bad analogy. I wish people would stop that, especially my Black people. It seems like we use the “it’s like slavery argument” to justify things we dislike. Jail shouldn’t be a privilege, and lawbreakers shouldn’t be treated like law-abiding citizens.

@NoFaceHoodie😂 But it’s not; a criminal commits a crime and gets punished. A slave is stolen from their land and forced to work on someone else’s land. Please don’t make me pull out the dictionary and start defining terms. I never knew slaves get four hot meals and civil rights.

If you are confined in a small space while prevented from doing what you want to do and being with who you want to be with and you can’t go where you want to go. Thats enough punishment. You shouldn’t be able to make someone work for you. Thats slavery.

@Mike-b6l8othey should work to provide for themselves. The tax payers shouldn’t have pat for their incarceration/food/medical.

@justinrichardson4456 but our taxes are paying for them regardless its just how the funds our being recklessly distributed. America is only 5% of world population but has the largest prison population with most crimes being not violent. Crime is big business. So they are insentivised to create the conditions for it to continue.
