Just cannot comprehend how LC can put all of the second hand victims of this tragedy through a court case is reprehensible.
Why on earth she cannot simply accept the consequences of her actions and roll off in her wheelchair and do paint by numbers in prison for the rest of her days thinking about what she has done.
If a man obliterates his family – we all know how he will be treated (justly so).
Treating LC differently is not equality.
Anyone that kills their children is OBVIOUSLY mentally ill. The cause of the mental illness is really irrelevant.
There’s way more support available now for women who face PND in this day and age…

She should have dutifully accepted her fate.
It’s obvious also that she was not adhering correctly to the meds and the regime that these things must take. You cannot chop and change them… they have long wash-in and wash-out periods and often there’s much tweaking of dose and combinations before settling of what is right for the patient… sounds like she was interrupting and interfering with her medical advice due to her professional nursing knowledge as well as her personality being controlling.
Mental illness should NOT preclude culpability. R.I.P. little ones, in the arms of Jesus.
She could have just packed a bag, told husband she couldn’t deal with motherhood, and LEFT! She literally PLANNED this scenario! I don’t buy this excuse. Just walk away…all lives saved!
I’m an RN and I’ve seen first hand many psychiatric patients. I’ve also seen how meds can really mess them up. I find it really sad that LC kept calling out for help and the result was three poor children dead. When people express mental health issues, you drop what you’re doing and listen. PC, the family, mental health providers let her down. Period. IMO she did not realize what she was doing. If she is found criminally responsible, PC, family and mental health people should be held responsible as well. They did not protect her. If they did protect and care for her, this would not have happened. You don’t leave someone who expressed intrusive thoughts alone.
