The last name Beasley is used several times in the series, including here, Loraine Beasley. Others are Goober Beasley, Juanita Beasley, Andrew Beasley, Charlie Beasley, and Edgar Beasley .

Amanda was cute. I think she would have been better for Andy than Helen Crump. And I’ll bet she could cook a mean leg of lamb.

If barney didnt get into andy’s bidness the show would not be so funny. Cuz Andy is not funny by himself. I didnt like it much when don knotts left the show.
    Wasnt as funny anymore.

Poor Andy, Barney must have taken some years off his life. Seriously, I love Andy choosing Helen and ignoring Barney’s antiquated comments about wives having to be gourmet cooks and being expected to give up their jobs when they marry. In my opinion, this puts Andy head and shoulders above many of his sitcom contemporaries like Rob Petrie and Danny Williams, both of whom went ballistic at the idea that their wives might take part-time jobs. Good for Sheriff Taylor! Thank you for posting this, fun episode.

Well, you dont find a wife that way. That’s what you do when you try to organize a girls softball 🥎 team. 😆
