In a rapid offensive down Yemen’s Red Sea coast, Houthi forces seized new ground directly overlooking the Bab al-Mandeb. Then, they reportedly crossed onto Mayyun Island – also known as Perim – which sits in the middle of the strait. Now, Houthi conventional weapons – artillery and rockets – can strike at ships, not just longer-range drones and missiles.
And another contingency plan for the global oil market has come under serious threat. On Friday, Saudi Arabia announced that it had shuttered its East-West Pipeline, blaming drone attacks from inside Iraq that it said had caused “injuries and some damage.”

📰 The United Arab Emirates has condemned recent Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, saying it stands in solidarity with its neighbour even as the two Gulf Arab powers have feuded over regional issues including Yemen.
In a statement, the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced “in the strongest terms” the attacks in the south of the country, which it said targeted civilians. The UAE said in supporting Saudi Arabia, it backs “all measures aimed at safeguarding its security and stability”.

They have been shooting atleast 3 times at US ships and missed everytime then saying they attacked for the first time and stuck but it was unsuccessful is a misleading statement.
