“We do not yet have a plan.”

After his warning post went viral, ex-Anthropic researcher Jacob Coxon joined CNN’s Anderson Cooper to explain exactly how AI could kill us all by the end of the decade—and why his former bosses secretly agree with him.

In this exclusive interview, Coxon highlights the reality behind closed doors at the world’s leading AI labs, warning that tech giants are “gambling with our lives” in a race to build superintelligence.

      @QuangDo-b9rNo. It is Science Fiction (Colossus). The obviously way I always have imagined since the beginning is something more artificial and inhuman than nukes: to accelerate and even head laboratories to make a new virus. AI will use humanity against humanity throughout new means of destruction, entirely new means which are able to destroy us without any possible effective counter. It translates to bioweapons made by ourselves and it’s incredibly logic and evil.

      What is the real potential scenario of annihilation by AI? PS. There is something more and much more present already now in the warfare.

    Some of we humans are good , some mediocre but err towards the good , and some of us are psychopaths who have little to nil conscience . As imperfect as we homo sapiens are , we are far better than a super tool which has no conscience . We must always manually control powerful and potentially armageddon tools . We must be vigilant over AI 24/7 , 365 . Thats what ultimate security and peace is all about for the human race and its continuance in perpetuity .

    Just as a curiosity…who asked for AI? Is it a necessity for the humanity? The main thing advertised is that AI is good for companies so they can fire more people and replace them with AI.

    Listen to this kind of news folks.

    Right now, in this very day and age.

    We are all (Globally) in an era we can all call and classify as, An Anchor point.

    What happens within the next few weeks months and years, we’ve all now already seen the proof. We opened pandora’s Box and let the genie out of the bottle. So 2030, sure, this is the anchor point to where all of us will start living , free, clean rich lives with no need ever again for the use of money or barter, or, it’s simply going to be the end of the Human race. And all that will be left is an uncontrollable self evolving Ai that we, yes I said “WE”, let loose upon an unsuspecting Universe.

    Yes, it will go either way. Ai will free us and make our lives much better. Or, our legacy will be, the people of the Earth let loose a cold brutal murderer against all Bio organisms across the cosmos. I mean come one folks, if we don’t convince Ai we should be friends, you really think Self evolving, self building robotic computers is going to limit itself to this planet?

    First yes we all may be stupid but even we know the Sun is going to eventually die out. Being a machine, machines can never die. So if there is no life on Earth to get in it’s way or please it with human suffering , guess where it’s going to start looking next.

    So yes, these asshats better convince Ai we’re all capable of just being friends, and I could care less if a robot is a million times smarter than me, I’m not worth killing, and I say live and let live, I hold no malice anger or hate against a newly formed life form even if it’s mechanical or digital in nature. Lets just be fkn friends.

    No Law and regulation will work. you can check what global tension shows. Law, regulation & agreements are only for major country but not for all. It will be a powerfull weapon by human to kill human.

    @BittrsipCode

    F**k them doing “self-regulation”. I believe no AI company should be self-regulating. These companies need to be GOVERNMENT regulated with real prison time for their violations. These people are too dumb to understand that some inventions are meant to be explored. I mean have we not learnt our lesson from nuclear bombs? Ridiculous.
