11:08 with the “unregistered pets” rule, I seriously wonder how they are with Service Animals. I would hope that they contact the guest and ask if it’s a Service Animal before they just change them for it. (Cuz that can be a law suit for discrimination since a Service animal is a federally protected disability aid. Just like Uber/Lyft/etc drivers that refuse to transport Service Animals) If it’s a guest that is booked through a cite like AirB&B, legally they can’t charge for having a Service Animal on the property. I also think they can’t legally require guests to even notify them of Service Animals in advance/register them. I know at hotels you don’t have to notify them in advance that you’re bringing a Service Animal and they’re covered under the same laws so it should be the same but I’m not 100% on that since there are some complexities when it comes to disability rights laws.
I just wanted to throw this out there cuz it’s a perspective that I don’t see many people talking about and I don’t think a lot of people think about when they decide to make their home (or car) a public accommodation which is exactly what you’re doing when you post it for rent on a booking cite (or sign up to drive Uber, etc.)
