i live in polk county and the amount of illegal drivers here is disturbing. when you live here and deal with people causing accidents without insurance you can judge for yourself.
i am partially disabled from an uninsured migrant driver and am still trying to sort out my life because of it, since you can’t sue someone who doesn’t have money. even if they have some money lawyers wont take your case unless insurance is involved(they must have insurance or you must have uninsured motorist), uninsured motorist here in florida costs more than your own personal liability insurance does, not everyone can afford it but we all need to go to work everyday.
1 in 5 cars on the road in florida is uninsured. it’s a real issue but our governor does jack S about it. personally i have zero sympathy for illegals being deported from here, this is a major place where they flock to because it’s a 50% spanish speaking state.

The Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd just lost 80% of the Hispanic vote. No die hard MAGA Latinos in Central Florida to save him like in Miami….
After seeing this viral video at HCA hospital Good luck Republicans in statewide elections. There are over 2.5 million registered Hispanic voters with the margin of victory at about half that. Easy math once you add in all the moderate and independent college educated voters, seniors whose Medicaid has been cut, and non-MAGA Cubans whose families are getting crushed by the Cuban blockade…all of whom are NOT voting Republican in the midterm and 2028.
