I know it doesn’t make any sense that A) someone would know who killed their grandfather in WW2 or B) get upset about their Nazi grandfather being killed in the war. But it’s worth it for the joke.
Call backs to a classic
We know for a fact that cotton served in Japan.
There was an episode in the original series where Hank thought Cotton was lying about his service because the timeline didn’t match up serving in Germant and Japan in similar times. They settled on “he was misrembering and he only served in Japan” but this proves he atleast got a crack at the Germans
