Have you ever heard about the Earth’s polar vortex? It’s a large area of low-pressure and cold air that surrounds the poles. Saturn has them, too. There’s one on the south pole and one on the northern pole. But the northern pole’s storm looks kinda odd. It’s shaped like a hexagon. Watch the video to learn more.

    All are secondary effects I’m afraid. The primary driver is an axial herniation of Saturn’s magnetic field.
    The herniation is a protruding field complex resulting from the axial compression of three layers of magnetic field.
    Nth hemisphere of outer core (Weakest, hence the nth pole expression) / Strongest, the Core / >Weakest, Sth hemisphere of outer core.
    I suggest that the original field material has become compressed over time due to more external material gradually being added to the planet after the the original stabilising fields were established, but that is of course my opinion.

    The never-ending storms of electrically charged materials is merely a secondary effect of the field complex generated by the inner core/outer core field compression hernia protruding axially through the planet’s outer gas layers and revealing at the northern pole.

    My model, constructed from permanent magnets to emulate the field mechanism of a planetary body showed each sextant of the hexagon field complex (hernia) is the opposite polarity to it’s neighbor. Add the swirling atmospheric materials, and it appears as a stable hexagon.
    Exactly why magnetic fields act in this way under opposing field compression is still a bit of a mystery. The experiment that revealed the hexagon wasn’t designed for that purpose.

    So, neither Bloxham nor Yadav have offered an intelligent precise and definitive answer as to why it’s shaped like a hexagon. They’ll just wait until someone else gives a definitive answer and then say, “yes, that is exactly what we were saying”. 😂😂
