Quite a revelation; but actually, not new. I just saw an old chat show* Chalamet was on, in 2018. He was obviously a bit younger, and also even more ignorant. It was with Laura Kinney and Saoirse Ronan. He was fawning over the women, and said he worshipped them, so lucky to be working with them, in a field “unlike opera, that no-one watches”. The newer opera and ballet comments show he’s learned nothing.
Hollywood has been going less than a century; opera began with Monteverdi; it’s been around for 400 years, 300 of those, never recorded.
Chalamet (and McConaughey) are just over indulged, pampered and over entitled by their position, which can be easily derailed by idiotic opinions.
