Lindsay Clancy is accused of strangling her three young children inside the family’s Massachusetts home before attempting to take her own life. Jurors viewed critical locations in the case, including the home where the killings took place, as the prosecution argued Clancy’s suicide attempt was staged while the defense maintained she was suffering from postpartum psychosis. If it was a “fake suicide attempt” she did a pretty bad acting, because she ended up in a wheelchair.
Im so torn with this case. I think the Healthcare system failed them immensely. But at thr same time i feel she has some culpability….she called her husband back when he was in cvs…is that normal when you are in a middle of a psychotic episode? The LA prosecutor explained it well. It takes about 5 to 7 mins to.strangle a person. So that x 3. At some point, wont one snap out and realize this is wrong. I hope an expert psychiatrist can explain this ….
The Christian in me wants to feel sympathy for her, she definitely has some mental illness. A “normal” person wouldn’t do what she did.
The mother in me is glad she ended up paralyzed… Goody! If she really wanted to die, she failed at that. Just like she failed her children. Hope she is mentally tortured the rest of her life.
For me it’s when they held the kid’s clothes up. That’s the part that haunts me.
