I’m gonna stay an unemployed goblin and there’s nothing you can do to stop me!! MUHUWHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA 😈
I disagree. This is one of the best episodes. I enjoy it. I enjoy everything about it. Even he spilled the beans and I enjoy not getting back together It can make you feel happy and tuning of a leaf
Regarding the revival’s affair, I just assumed that since Nancy limited her contact with John Redcorn in the OG series. Them being close again, is the result of them collaborating in their job and eventually rebuilding their friendship (not affair), which revival series pointed out as being in inappropriate. I could believe that Nancy just hired him as a masseuse/Friend, but only finally cut contact with him when she realized she was falling back into old habits.
Nice sponsor for the episode where Peggy regrets not going to college lol
I don’t consider it a retcon.
Why? Because cheaters tend to relapse. I’ve witnessed it far too many times among my friends that I almost want to say that, after forgiving them for the fourth time, it is on them…I know a bad thing to say to someone who has gone through that, BUT when someone shows you who they are…believe them.
Everybody always forgets the episode where Nancy was losing her hair. Her mom told her to get back with John Redcorn if she wants to save it. But she chose to stay with Dale. So that really just pisses me off too
They could reverse the mistake by having dale realize the secret
this is a very good faith critique of this episode! also i really enjoyed the avatar aang video as well, i might just watch it now. don’t have a lot of free time to myself nowadays but it seems like a really great experience for the most part.
In having Nancy tell Dale about the affair and work through it, it would have also given the writers an opportunity to have Dale “realize” John Redcorn isn’t gay… he’s bisexual! Which would have just been an amusing callback to Dale getting John’s sexuality wrong for so long, while leaning even more into how Dale is far more modern in his sensibilities than some (since biphobia is still prevalent even within certain queer spaces.)
Big misstep for the revival in any case. Not everything prominent in the old series was beloved.
I remember the jokes in the first season having a bit of dread, making me think “oh did they put them back together”. But with the retcon in this episode it does make it kinda worse
