they really have no other strategy than pay less, hire less, deliver less, raise price.
They are in the entertainment business. Your pay is decided purely by how much engagement they bring in. It had nothing to do with racism. If the employer decides they do not bring enough engagement for their pay then obviously they are gonna get cut. There’s nothing controversial about that. The only controversial part is how/when they laid them off. Pat is one of the most popular sports commentators at the moment so it’s no surprise they are keeping him. It’s crazy he felt the need to justify this. It’s not an employees job to justify their pay or take a pay cut to help another keep their job especially when those coworkers are not struggling for money. If Clark and some others is gonna be in financial struggle due to this layoff then that’s a him problem. He was a top 0.5% earner.
I don’t feel bad at all. The rest of us are working hard asf be they’re getting paid millions to go “uh ya the other team threw the ball this way and then they won”
