Nintendo stocks tend to ping pong a lot over the years, but it doesn’t really make much difference. They have enough to weather enough storms. People will chalk it up to game prices or what have you, but it really doesn’t make as much difference as you’d think. Game prices were ridiculous as well in the cartridge era(even then while SNES cartridges could be really high, stuff like Neo Geo cartridges were far worse), it wasn’t until CDs came in that prices cooled off. Not that many of Nintendo’s games reach excessive price points either.

I’m kind of surprised any of these consoles are doing so well with how crap world economies are doing, plus constant tariff nonsense, prices for all the consoles, including stuff like PS5 and XB not actually going down despite being out for so long. Companies in various industries are starting to feel the pinch as consumers pull back spending, but people just continue buying into entertainment options regardless. Well, except for theatres for the most part, that particular entertainment option seems to be SOL.

It’s just too expensive for what it brings. I sort of wonder if this will become the first Nintendo product offered in the US that I never own during it’s entire life.
