First of all, I love this show and all that it stands for. I agree that you never really own a historic home, it’s more like you’re being given stewardship over it. It’s your responsibility to restore it to it’s original condition, love and care for it as though it were alive, or as if it’s your family. I NEVER want to live in a new home. There’s just something about old houses, the way they feel and smell or the way the light trickles in the windows and dances across the floor. If you listen carefully, the house will speak to you-it will thank you for putting the time, money and effort into its restoration by wrapping your spirit in peace and contentment.

I live in Halifax, NS Canada I WILL NOT MISS JOANNE’s Sunday show, can’t wait for the Castle to start. I find the Magnolia programs SO rewarding–newly widowed–enjoyable, peaceful and love the workman ship BUT FOOD great. Beverley Wentzell.
