While Andre Aggasi’s comments are insightful and based on his own playing experience, the 3% less slpperiness on clay and grass argument may not be the sole reason why Alcaraz won championship at Ronald Garros twice succively and Wimbledon onc. More baffling in the pre Nadal era, why multiple Wimbledon champions like McEnroe and Sampras could never win the French Open even once or oppositely why clay court champions like Lendl never won Wimbledon.Also, Agassi himself managed to win on clay and grass 7 years apart only once due to fragility of Medvedev (1999) and Ivanevich (1992).
