The Rani is kidnapping geniuses from throughout time to power a giant brain… and that means the Doctor is required! Newly regenerated from the TARDIS crash landing on the planet Lakertya, the Seventh Doctor is deceived by the Rani into believing she is his companion, and she tricks him into helping her… will the Doctor realise in time?

The bubble scene with Mel was the only good part of this sad story. Lol
Are we sure the outdoor scenes were shot on videotape? They still look like 16mm film in this story. Either they used film one last time, or the outdoor scenes were shot at 30 FPS to create the illusion of being shot on film, like every episode from “Rose” to “The Next Doctor” was shot on Betacam and then processed to run at 30 FPS to make it look like it was on film (except for certain sequences that were actually shot on 35mm). I’ve noticed this in several other Seventh Doctor stories like “Battlefield”.
