There’s a line between being patient with a stock, and being stubborn. But not knowing the difference will cost you. Jim Lebenthal, chief market strategist at Cerity Partners, joins the “Investing with IBD” podcast to explain how to determine when to stay the course with a stock and when to jump. He also explores why there often aren’t simple answers to investing questions around inflation, artificial intelligence and more.
The Investing with IBD podcast is hosted by Justin Nielsen and livestreams on YouTube every Wednesday at 5 PM Eastern/2 PM Pacific.

a podcast on how to baghold properly lol. This is not trading.
You are on the Investor’s Business Daily channel, sir.
PLTR has formed a head-and-shoulders top and broken below the neckline. The decline in trading volume on the right shoulder, in particular, makes this a textbook pattern. Assuming the peak was around $200, I anticipate the price could fall to approximately $80. Even if earnings are strong, the chart leads me to classify the stock as being in “Stage 4.” I might be mistaken, but what I learned from IBD has made technical analysis a bit easier for me. Thank you.
I thought this was a great episode of the IBD Podcast. I do not trade the way Mr. Lebenthal does, but I think his insights into understanding the fundamental metrics of a company are very helpful. He is a very interesting and engaging guy, and anyone who has served on US Navy subs has my respect. Bought his book, I am looking forward to receiving and reading it.
Jim fundamentally does not believe price is truth.
Adobe has been on my short list for a while now. It’s peculiar and the most obvious value stock out there.
