Everyone keeps talking about how Pistons beat the bulls 3 consecutive years in the playoffs (’88, ’89, ’90), but doesn’t expand that the bulls line was just wasn’t good. MJ’s numbers were there. And it’s a team sports. The fact that the Pistons still hade to make the Jordan Rules tells you everything about how dangerous MJ was. Also, if you look at MJ’s bulls before the titles, they were ascending each year. Not a single year they regressed. Also, in 1990 ECF game 7, it was only MJ who showed up on that game. Context matters.
He brought it on HIMSELF. Lebron should have just let his career speak, not his minions. He forced us to pick apart his foolishness and expose his flaws. It is his own fault. He could have just played and left the resume on record and the discussions would have carried on forever. Instead, he wanted to WIN the debate and manufacture it, and he can’t. No one has the right to crown himself. His career is a mirage of greatness when compared by his own standards. He attacked the greats. No respect, so gets none.

If you can’t make a case for LeBron without tearing down MJ and the previous eras of the NBA then he doesn’t belong in the debate. I’ve been watching the NBA since the early 80’s. This is not something that was EVER done until a certain player from Ohio came along and started putting that narrative out for his fans to parrot.
