South Florida developer George Pino is charged with vessel homicide and manslaughter in a 2022 boat crash that killed 17-year-old Lucy Fernandez and left another teen permanently disabled. Prosecutors allege Pino was operating the boat when it slammed into a channel marker near Boca Chita Key, while the defense argues the crash was a tragic accident and that there is insufficient evidence to support the charges. Pino reportedly admitted drinking two beers and claimed another boat contributed to the crash. He faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted.

They did not take a blood alcohol level state has to PROVE Mr. Pino was drunk. THEY CANNOT PROVE THAT. The burden of proof is IN THE PROSECUTION not on the defense. The Pino boat was a GIANT RECYCLING BIN for the empties. No one saw Mr. Pino guzzling tons of alcohol. All testimony has been that he has always been a responsible boat operator not a drunk crazy man.
Those are REAL TEARS of course he feels horrible. He was knocked unconscious by the crash so you cannot presume callousness in the immediate aftermath he had a head injury. Wasn’t speeding and since no blood alcohol test was performed the state cannot prove he was drunk. NO CASE. NOT GUILTY.

All Reckless parents, allowing their children to drink underage. Maybe they will learn to be better parents, and not their kids friends.
