True, much of what goes on off-court of players’ lives are invisible to the fans and supporters—the travel and adjusting to different time zones and climate alone—yet it is they who expect so much from their fav players and who the players and the federation do not want to let down.

It takes its toll on the players and their teams, ultimately (the men have had to deal with the sudden MidEast crisis and that, too too a lot of planning and strategy while keeping the players, teams and staff safe. But that’s a separate matter concerning the WTA. Imagine, though if something like that were to happen in WTA’s backyard.
