🍕 SILENT ERA TOUR de SAUCE🍕
Welcome to the nightmare world of Benjamin Christensen—the Danish filmmaker revered for his bizarre silent classic Häxan.
During his brief but unforgettable stint in Hollywood, Christensen conjured a trilogy of films, each starring his muse, the mesmerizing Thelma Todd. Sadly, only one of these haunting works survives: tonight’s surreal descent into madness—that still, nearly a century later, refuses to be bound by genre limitations.
Whether you’re a fan of classic horror, silent film history, or the twisted tales of 1920s cinema, this film offers a glimpse into a fascinating era of filmmaking.

What an absolute masterpiece. Shot so beautifully. Magnificent. PizzaFlix you have done us proud presenting this gem of which I can’t say enough. Thelma Todd – what a looker!!!
And what about a shout out to the Piano Cat, playing all those dissonant notes, clusters, building and creating accordingly for the emphasis.
May I ask what you were tripping on back at that time
Yes, this movie is a brilliantly bizarre masterpiece.
I had never seen or heard of this film. It made the most of its sixty minute running time; a delight from start to finish.
I’d like to try a synthesizer redo of the soundtrack 🌛
I don’t understand why someone thought it necessary to add what is clearly digital “artificial damage” to an old film. Otherwise, very good.
No original footage of this 1929 film was “aged” in anyway. The only time a vintage film overlay was used is during the newly recreated English credits and inter-titles(351), which sadly only survive on an Italian language print. Also during a scene or two where an English language letter or note needed to be recreated. Look at some other versions on YouTube, and perhaps you will appreciate my efforts. 🍕
Wow……what a ride !
I’m surprised that traitor Trumpet is not the Start Of The movie 😮😂😂😂😂😂
