Rapper Young Thug, born Jeffrey Williams, is headed home after pleading guilty to multiple charges on Thursday. Thug was considered one of the co-founders of the alleged YSL gang, although his attorney states he is not. I don’t understand , why is he free?
Time commuted. The prosecutors dragged the case on for sooooooooo long he already served his sentence waiting for the trial to end. She gave him time, but said it included the time he already served and he already served it all.
I like how they all address the harms of gangs and their harms without at all addressing the systemic peer-reviewed reasons they exist or any of the real solutions that the city could do to address them without setting a dangerous precedent using RICO instead. This whole trial was an injustice and a waste of taxpayer money and for what. They gained nothing, changed nothing. But hey. America, amirite.
