Trump’s decision to pursue faster bilateral trade negotiations while Canada waited for formal negotiations has sparked new debate over the future of North American trade. In this video, we examine how Prime Minister Mark Carney’s measured response reflects a broader negotiating strategy during the 2026 CUSMA review, and why the automotive industry, rules of origin, and integrated supply chains may prove more influential than political headlines suggest. Rather than focusing on rhetoric alone, this analysis explores the economic incentives, institutional process, and strategic calculations shaping negotiations between Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
This channel provides independent geopolitical analysis for educational and documentary purposes. It’s not going to be a problem because Mexico and Canada hashed it all out months ago Mexico is basically a proxy negotiator for Canada (unbeknownst to mr greer)
