    So maybe her “breaking character” and cracking up was the whole point of the sketch.
    What would it be without Heidi’s break?
    TV is pretend land after all.
    Reality shows aren’t even reality so why trust that this was so real?
    Theory: At some point Heidi figured out that she could fake muted hysterical laughter and that it was infectious. Somehow this got into the creative process of writing for that week. Voila.
    Breaking character FOR laughs is a longstanding tradition at SNL.
