I’m glad Carl’s mother and stepfather gave him advice. The advice came at the right time, just in time. Lindsay is such a manipulator! I hate to see how she manipulates each of her subsequent boyfriend so that he does everything the way it suits her. It gets to the point where all her boyfriends start to be afraid of her. They are afraid to say an extra word to her, so that she will not be offended. She loves to make herself look like a victim and constantly find fault with her boyfriends. Lindsay perceives and treats her boyfriends, in this case, the fiance, not as the most wonderful person in the world, whom she wants to put on a pedestal, but as a thing that she bought and this thing should work 100% for her. Lindsay squeezes all the juices out of her boyfriends until they start running away from her. This is not love. Love is when you love your fiance the way he is, and you don’t constantly try to find fault with him. Apparently Lindsay won’t understand this.

The more I watch, the more I’m Team THE UNIVERSE for not allowing this marriage to happen.
They didn’t say anything negative. They spoke the truth to Carl. Lindsey clearly has a problem with getting meaner than Cat … when she’s schwasted. I was surprised Carl even had a Step Father to begin with, missed all that but he spoke the truth from his experience marrying people he wouldn’t participate if he was the officiant. Obviously nothing matters because they called it off.
A missing piece of her puzzle is her Mother abandonment issues. It had to affect her development in some manner.

As someone who came from a broken relationship I wish people were more honest with me about how bad the relationship was. There are also always there sides to the story…hers, his, and the truth
