Perhaps when mentioning Vietnam, we are mentioning fish sauce. Fish sauce is available in many countries around the world, but fish sauce is definitely closely associated with our culture. Since childhood, every Vietnamese person has tasted the salty and sweet taste of the ocean. Every meal cannot be without fish sauce. Even if you go far away abroad, fish sauce is an indispensable spice of the Vietnamese people.
My household would use the squid brand fish sauce for cooking but Red Boat goes into all dipping sauces and be featured on the table raw as condiment. Great episode with founder Cuong Pham providing a moving narration.
