Ayo Edebiri Tapped to Write and Star in Barney Movie for Mattel, A24 | THR News

Ayo Edebiri is stepping into the world of Barney. The Emmy-winning actress is in talks to write and star in a film about the beloved purple dinosaur for A24. The project has been in development since 2019 when it was announced that Mattel Films and Daniel Kaluuya’s 59% Productions would be partnering with A24 on the project about the children’s TV character.
