The mother of a US war hero killed in Afghanistan has criticised the decision to give Prince Harry an award honouring her dead son.
Harry will receive the memorial award set up in the name of Pat Tillman – an American football star who gave up a £3million contract to enlist in the US Army after 9/11 – in Hollywood next month.
But the soldier’s mother Mary said she was not consulted, adding: ‘I am shocked as to why they would select such a controversial and divisive individual to receive the award.

Harry talks about invictus when he gets paid for it. Just like sentebale, he gets free private jets, hotel, meg’s wardrobe, etc. If he had to do it for free, he would not be doing it.

Mrs. Tillman had every right to speak out!!!! There is no way HAIRLESS could even lick Pat Tillman’s boots!!!! Talk about serving for your country. He gave up a multimillion dollar contract for one of ACTUAL SERVICE FOR COUNTRY!!!! HAIRLESS ran away with tail between his legs, with MEMEGAIN holding his leash!!! Heard he bought the award to help his VISA problems!!!!

I saw one very sensible solution. Give the award to the Invictus Games with the person who deals with the actual running and organization of the Games. If necessary, Harry, as patron of the Games, could present the award to this person. The Invictus Games itself is worthy of the award. Harry is not.
I just looked and the pat tillman foundation website is up, didn’t see anything on there about the award.
They might have taken him off their pages but this is due to cowardice, not wanting to actually explain WHY he was nominated or how it was decided he was worthy. Bet your bottom dollar, he will turn up with the perma grinning barnacle in tow to accept this non earned, non deserved trinket.

Most likely still getting the award, he is not responsible for Invictus it was a Royal Family thing so why isn’t it a joint award for all those involved not Harry who just jets off there for free and grifts
