Pat McAfee can get away with it because he doesn’t need ESPN they need him. He was getting 30 mil a year from fan duel and espns ratings were dropping at an alarming rate.
ESPN is not public airwaves. It’s basic cable. The FCC doesn’t have jurisdiction over cable. ESPN may have their own standard about whether to use the f bomb.

Pat’s show is leased it is not a ESPN show. ESPN has no say on how that show runs, PTI is a ESPN show and has to follow ESPN rules and standards.
agree. Wilbon should realize this and shut his mouth. also, I love the PTI show, but Wilbon has had some strange days during the last 5 years. too much of the ‘fat cat” syndrome (way too complacent). he HAS to know that PTI different from PMS. Also, the PMS gets bleeped on ESPN, it is not a blank check to say whatever you want.
Why would Wilbon be jealous? This is stupid. He has decades of experience. You get his point, and you misinterpret his point on purpose. Stop it. They are 2 different age groups from 2 different schools (social media age/journalism), hence the difference. But, you good ole boys play it up.

wow its disappointing hearing wilbon. i probably haven’t watched espn in 7-10 years but Wilbon was definitely one of my favorite people to watch.
when i think of that dude the words character & intelligence come to mind. He just always conducted himself in an admirable manner, at least he did on camera.
