Puget Sound is pretty universally pronounced PYU-jt, not POO-jt, but Washingtonians.
1:26 When you say 150 miles like it’s a long distance I chuckled. Side effect of living in Texas everything is either huge or spaced super far apart.

So it’s the government’s fault
While this video is very well done, I’m not sure I buy into the reasons given. I tend to assume the true reasons are political corruption and money interests. In the past two years, I have repeatedly taken the auto ferry between the southern tip of Iceland and the Westman Islands, a journey of about 1-2 hours. Those are not calm seas, either. This ferry is run professionally, promptly, and multiple times per day. Only if the weather is very poor is the ferry either cancelled or it departs from a different location. Also, now that it is 2024, my understanding is that electric ferries are possible (I believe I have taken an electric ferry in the SF Bay Area). If there truly is an untapped market here, I hope that it is allowed to develop for everyone’s benefit.
