  1. I’m from Europe and have a question, can doctors just keep prescribing drugs to the patient without any control – especially, with these kinds of drugs? 🤔

    1. yes. a lot of doctors are unethical. if one says no out of duty of care, the addict will keep shopping around until he finds a doctor who will be bought to do what he needs. (I am a physician.)

    2. @@DiamondBodyMedia Interesting, not surprised that the person who is addicted would do that, in my country – I live in Denmark, you can only have one doctor at a time. I have severe epilepsi, and there has to be a month between each time I pick up my medication, I can’t just go to the pharmacy and pick it up whenever I want to, the same goes with my asthma prescription, even my antihistamine – hope it makes sense, what I wrote ☺️

    3. @@funinthekitchen844I’m American you can only get a monthly script at a time with opioids but it depends on your insurance allergey and that type you can get more then one month according to your insurance and if it’s a controlled substance no!

    4. @@funinthekitchen844 yes I understand. in australia where I trained anyone can go to any primary care physician and many junkies go to multiple in a day and stock up on the meds at different pharmacies. everything is paid for by the government so technically until the government stops them for overshopping (seeing all the pharmacy bills) they can continue. ethical doctors refuse but the unethical ones oftentimes don’t even take a history as they get aid per prescription/consultation. In the US it is more regulated like your country, normal US citizens with health insurance can only go to a particular primary physician that the insurance company dictates and all scripts pass through the insurance company. But with addicts who are poor they usually don’t have health insurance so its different. With addicts who are rich like Perry, Michael Jackson, Prince, Whitney etc etc they just buy out the physician who treats it as their private patient without disclosing to any authority or overseeing regulator. Thats why pressing charges even for rich victims is important. Usually in Hollywood (I have lived and worked in Los Angeles so I know a lot of A list celebs) they are enabled by many people who use the addictions of the famous person to advance themselves whether that be financially or with other perks. its actually quite sad. I always tell people that the show ‘friends’ was not a success. the actors were paid 1 mill an episode but no one stood up for their friend. They should have stopped filming and supported him until he was clean, he never would have rebounded. Deep down he was lonely and had no one to be close to, thats why he could never recover from his addiction. Many LA celebs are in the same boat sadly and their agents and managers prey on the fact that they have no partner or family to support them.

    5. ps all he very best to you with navigating your illness. I trained in neuro so I deifinely understand the things you are living with. all best.

  2. Who the hell cares tbh?
He was a life time long junkie and alcoholic that made a tv show that was decent (in my opinion) and perhaps 2-3 movies that was somewhat good.
He died in a jacuzzi, while living the life in LA – with personal assistent and everything.
He was literally making 10k dollars for EVERY rerun Friends had, in whatever country.
    That was in his contract.

  3. was waiting for the follow up on this. everyone said he was clean and sober before he died. replacing a drug addiction for a prescribed dependence/addiction is not freedom or recovery. it just makes the doctors who are drug pushers and the legalised drug companies rich (as someone who went to medical school).

  4. Let’s be honest. He was rich and he was famous. He could have gotten anything he wanted anywhere due to his money, status and influence alone. And when it comes to drugs, you don’t even need all of that to get what you want. Unless they knocked him out and injected him, roofied him or held a gun to his head and FORCED him to take the drugs, self accountability needs to happen. You would not here of this blame game with poor people. I enjoyed watching him on friends 20+ yrs ago. But let’s be real, was anyone FORCING his type of buzzes on him? A ton of ppl are hooked on a lot of different things and I guarantee you, they are begging ppl to get it for them, not the other way around. Unless there is a nefarious plot. Was someone standing to benefit from him dying? Or would they have made more money with him maintaining himself?

  5. Uhhhh… he was an addict and he chose that path. How is this anyone else’s fault ? It’s not as though a physician administered it, or did they ???🤔

  6. The bottom line is simple…

You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink it. By, the same token, you can’t pull a horse away from POISONED WATER, then expect it to NOT walk back to drink it.

ONLY MATTHEW PERRY HAD THE POWER TO SAVE HIMSELF. NO ONE IS AT FAULT… THIS IS NOTHING BUT A WITCH HUNT.

  7. Interesting, the man was knocked off and people just want to dismiss it — as what the media wants us to believe. NO FOUL PLAY, huh? Give me a break. We cannot bring Matthew Perry back but we can give him a little bit of justice. Did he know too much? Damn..

  8. It’s his own damn fault. No one forced him to do drugs or be an alcoholic. Because he was a celebrity, he’s supposed to get a pass ?!! SCREW THAT !!!
