Ammirati’s journey began at age 12, inspired by a girl at his club, and he quickly developed a passion for the sport’s adrenaline rush. Beyond athletics, he serves as a reserve police officer with the French National Police. Since relocating to Clermont Ferrand in 2021 for training, he has trained under Olympic champion Renaud Lavillenie and given back to his community by mentoring young athletes. Despite missing out on Olympic gold, Ammirati has earned medals in other competitions, including the European U20 and World U20 titles. His infamous Olympic performance has since led to a $250,000 offer from an adult website for a webcam show showcasing his “talent below the belt.”
