Very interesting. I still have a fully functioning 32 inch CRT branded Ferguson for the UK market, which I bought in the 80s to watch my extensive collection of VHS films and TV shows. These were often made from Channel 4 or BBC2 films and historical repeats like The Prisoner, Hancocks Half Hour and docs on anything to with transport. I moved to South America 25 years ago and this set was shipped here where I watch it ocasionally. It was Japanese I think but I do not remember the maker and cannot find the instruction manual at present. Well done on saving that piece of brown goods history.
add in a bit of fake drama with some bad guys, and a cute girl as the love interest, and you could sell this as a script for a movie.
Wasnt linus looking for one of these to make a video about?
I moved into new/old house in 2020. There was a Sony trinitron 34″ upstairs on a 325# capacity turn table in a built-in entertainment center with 5.1 surround sound. Weighed 197#. State of the art in 2004. I was able to give it away to a gamer. I’m so glad I did rather than using it for target practice. Had a very nice picture. I did have it set up in the garage for awhile and I would watch DVD’s while working.
