Very well said Langer . A true Champion that has nothing to prove with his skin color
It was a very gracious speech and the Langers are a class act. Still, a 188 yd approach shot is completely different than a 207 yd approach and a 180 yd approach is completely different than a 204 yd approach. NBC shouldn’t have shown Bernhard’s very, very long walk up to the front tees on the two playoffs on 18. Can we be honest and say if the playoff was on 17 the outcome would almost certainly have been different? Why was the playoff on a hole with (I think) the biggest difference in the tee box distances?
Edit: and the Woods’ are a gracious class act for not even hinting at this valid point in their post playoff interviews.
Bernard and his son they are classy people. It’d be nice to see more athletes act like that.
Bernhards forward tees meant he was hitting 700 yards less than Tiger.
This is an example of good people and good competitors.
