Ukraine has ordered the evacuation of the city Pokrovsk, as Russian forces approach the region.
In a post on Telegram, the head of the city’s military administration says it’s important residents “don’t delay” their evacuation, as Russian troops are “rapidly approaching the outskirts of Pokrovsk”.
The city was the focus of the highest intensity of fighting between Ukrainian and Russian forces on Thursday, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In a post on X, President Volodymyr Zelensky said the city was a key focus for defence forces and was one of a number of areas “facing the most intense Russian assaults”.

1:45 state insubordination with no evidences that’s a biased statement. Could it be a strategy? I don’t the guy explore that way?
Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkov, Odessa and Kiev.
I really don’t understand this bizarre media strategy of consistently pretending that the war is going better for Ukraine than it actually is. At some point, it’s going to become pretty obvious that you were lying, unless you’re betting that Trump will come in and emd the war with a settlement that favours Russia (reflecting the state of play), and you want to come in later and go back to this slur that DJT is some kind of Russian agent, that would make sense.
Bbc and sky just full of crap. Shameless
