UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy has agreed a new security partnership with India designed to unlock investment in emerging technologies.
On a visit to the country, Mr Lammy met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and told the BBC that Britain would work with India to agree a free trade deal in the coming months.
The BBC’s diplomatic correspondent, James Landale, was the only journalist travelling with Mr Lammy and sent this report from New Delhi.
