I expected there to be a mention of Hans Christian Anderson and Edvard Collin or Kafka and Milena. Anyways, great list! I felt so bad for the wife that took her life in Mary Shelley’s love story.

Only recently, there have been found letters from Wallis Simpson to her last ex husband, telling him she still loved him, while divorcing him, and that they overplayed their hand and had to live with the consequence of it all. The prince wasn’t the love of her live, and she got caught in a situation she couldn’t escape. There is a English documentry about it.
