The entire opening of Titanic!
You can’t forget “Fall Fair” from “Ride the Cyclone”. It is SO GOOD on setting the scene and mood of the rest of the show.
For me not quite chills, but god damn “I Need To Know” from Jekyll and Hyde just pulls me in, I love it so much
I hope I get it from A Chorus Line needed to be on this list!

“Be the hero of your story” from big fish belongs at #1 for me
prologue from the great comet is my favourite. introduces you to all of the characters and it’s just a funky jazzy lil number
As much as I enjoyed Sweeney Todd (the movie – never got to see the musical) I would still have to vote for the opening of “The Lion King” – nothing like that had graced the Broadway stage before…the director – Julie Taymor – was a GENIUS !
Appreciate you pronouncing Newfoundland properly. Not many mainlanders get it right
