I’ve been one of the weirdos who, since childhood, thought the original was absolutely amazing. I’ve watch that movie more times, over the years, than any other.
When I heard that a remake was in the works, I was so pissed off. Like “Leave it alone”. The original had such unique feel & atmosphere that I just KNEW that they were gonna f**k it completely up.
Man…this guy pulled off the impossible, in my opinion.
I can’t even articulate how above and beyond my expectations it was.

Coralie is the coolest, the only girl at the table must be kind of nerve wracking, shout outs to her
this is such a unique and diverse group of directors. The Substance, Nickel Boys, Dune 2 and The Brutalist were all in my top 10 of 2024, with Conclave being a near miss that I also very much enjoyed. Ridley is hit and miss for me but when he hits he hits hard.
