This Traditional Indian Wedding Is Insanely Beautiful | World Wide Wed | Refinery29 1

On this World Wide Wed episode, best friends Sonya and Harsh come from two different regions of India, so when it came to their wedding, they combined the cultures of Harsh’s southern region Andhra Pradesh and Sonya’s northern Punjabi background. The resulting 72-hour celebration is the stuff of Bollywood dreams, starting with the Sangeet, a festive banquet-turned-talent show, and ending in an intimate, ornate ceremony. Watch as the bride and groom honor traditions (hint: there’s no final kiss) with some modern flair.

Yeppe i am so glad that u decided to make a video on this love u

    2. Refinery29 I am Mauritian but my ancestors are from india, so we do practice the south Indian culture(Andhra Pradesh) for the wedding and all other prayers. Pretty much Mauritius is multicultural

    3. In Canada, it is traditional to cram every wedding into a short 8 week-long period in the summer so nobody freezes to death haha

  1. Wanting to ride an elephant turned me off right away. You’re so great! You’d like to exploit an incredible animal for your wedding show! The narcissism and ignorance is very obvious here
