In this episode we take a look at Figure AI, Nvidia and a bunch of other robotics companies that are looking to replace warehouse workers.

Basically if all these companies could use Asimo as a base they could b far by now
My view is this:
* Autonomous cars will allow us to have a second income by using the vehicles as UBERs (like Waymo) and Deliveries
unlike our current vehicles which are parked up on the parking lot doing nothing but absorb heat from the tarmac
* Humanoid Robots, will likely replace many (not all) of human jobs and given the PwC report of February 2018 “Will robots take my job”
the figures are likely to come to some fluition that being that 30% of job replacement by 2030, and 40% by 2040
However what is not widely considered is Elon Musk claiming to put robots like Optimus on sale for $20,000 to $30,000 means they will go on sale for the price of a new car out of a show room, granted not everyone can afford this, so finance will be available no doubt, but what it will do, similarly to the autonomous vehicles becoming taxies and freight
Robots can be rented to businesses as such replacing the employer but paying the employer for their robot, as such people will still gain an income, but would not do the physical work themselves, as such it frees up their time to be with the family more, explore the world and hobbies more or even just study and develop themselves for a sense of purpose.
This will see that delivery robots such as for example an optimus 2 or figure 2 (with advanced walking capabilities as they are still flimbsy) and autonomous vehicle allow for UPS / Hercules freight deliver, UBER eat and JustEat deliveries, postal services to continue but where you dont work
This is more of a utopia vision that the dystopian one, but this banks a lot on the retail price for a humanoid robot and employers not sourcing their own.
The advantage for employers is, as the robot is not their possession the responsibility to maintain it is not theirs, they merely continue using the robot as long as its efficient and practical, whilst offering battery charges.
* UBI
A tax like south korea is likely to take place so say 20% which will enable to continue funding welfare, for the poorest members of society whilst the rest may be broken down as 50% for the humanoid robot owner and 30% for the business.
Those in poverty may opt to have fewer children in order to maintain the quality of living, which will help reduce the populous of the world, and eventually the number of available jobs will match the number of available humans (as an estimate) which will then see life continue as it has now, except with far more humanoid robotics
What is yet to be seen is will battery pollution take over and with all this electricity consumption will it cause more pollution on the planet, will this cause us to die out in which case it will be our own doing that led to this and not so much AI turning on humanity but life on earth continues in virtual form, would make a good sci-fi movie or tv series for netflix
after reading some of the comments here i realize how disconnected most people are from human advancement. instead of aiming to participate in it your comfort yourself into the role of the victim. placing billionaires in charge of the fate of your society. whenever you will be wiped out in the future by your science fiction fantasies then remember my words and finally blame yourself.
You gotta really hate robits if you think that the robot being shown is fake. First, you can see how slow it moves. Robots that do what they’re told to do will take time to do that process since it’s just learning it. Those motors in the robot can move much faster if controlled by a human. The only way that they could move faster than it currently shows is if they do a task that they’re trained to do. They hear the words you say and match that up with a training that they have, so they can repeat it at a faster speed.
