Reviews:
“I am not going to be a pretend person and quote other actors/movies etc. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. In part, it was somewhat predictable, but the way it played out, made in my opinion, excellent viewing. Obvious from the start that dad and his daughter are involved in an unusual income earning lifestyle. Equally obvious that dad is trying to shelter daughter to an extent. Dad involved in something he wants to keep from daughter. Enter third main character. This one kept me guessing for quite a while – then when I finally decided to trust him – he let me down. Then it got really got interesting! Except for the tears I had to shed at the end. Like I said, bloody good movie! This one I am keeping!!!!” Written by alexianiz on IMDb.com
“Director-writer Smets injects life into a tired genre with this top-notch throw-back which combines black comedy and genuine pathos with ease and skill. Smets was certainly influenced by crime dramas of the 70’s (most notably, The Mechanic). His subdued style and pacing is a welcome change from the usual shock and awe of Hollywood. His characters speak from the heart and head and could be your father, sister, or next door neighbour. The film never takes itself too seriously until it matters, nor does it get bogged down with pop-culture references and post-modern irony. I look forward to more films by this talented director.” Written by novelty-5 on IMDb.com
“For those of you who always wanted to be Han…not Luke, the characters in this movie continue the great tradition of lovable anti-heroes. I especially enjoyed the father-daughter stuff…and would like to hang-out with that family anytime. (And I’ve bought it on DVD, so I guess I can!) Christopher Warre Smets (writer/director) really understands the flow of dialogue. Consider the fact that Joe Mantagna, who is known for channeling David Mamet, opted to speak the words of C.W. Smets. (There’s something to that.) Plus the script strikes just the right balance of humour and pathos. By the way…this movie begs for a sequel.” Written by squeeze-anne on IMDb.com
“While there’s enough action to sustain the drama, this is not a shoot-em-up production. A father, the hit-man, has brought his daughter into the business. He must then cope with failing health, and the dangers presented by a failed hit, by bringing in a partner.
Not at all what anyone might expect in a hit-man movie made with today’s thud and blunder styling. This is actually about the interactions of people, and is done with a lot of care. Excellent low-key drama with top-caliber acting and touches of black comedy.
Loved it. I definitely have to check out all else that this writer/director has done.” Written by davelocke on IMDb.com

Excellent film! Made me wonder about who the film was in memory of (Patricia Ragozzino)… Searching for information about her was unsuccessful… Does anyone know anything other than her being an actress and her birth and death year???
He didn’t come to him because he didn’t buy a house. He’s hooked up in this take down of Harry.

Never thought I’d have such empathy for a hit man. Mantegna is a great actor.
