Cousin Pearl was a right handsome woman back then.
Jed’s a real man of good character, lying to keep the peace and not indulge in any of the rather addictive trappings of high society. Sidebar, those chitlins he served at the beginning sounded crunchy. I spent half my childhood and adolescence around people who ate chitlins, and not ONCE did they EVER sound crunchy. What’s up with that???
You can fry them.
Margaret:”I’m not intoxicated, I’m mortified”!!!
Milburn:” The word is ossified!!”
