Stevie Nicks became a superstar as lead singer and songwriter for the ’70s band Fleetwood Mac, and a platinum-selling solo artist. She talks with correspondent Tracy Smith about composing her latest song, “The Lighthouse,” that was inspired by her own experience with abortion, and a strong desire to “do something” following the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade. She also discusses the loss of her bandmate Christine McVie in 2022, and how she continues to pay tribute to her.

I always will enjoy Stevie, her music, talent and performances. Rock on ancient queen. Just imagine what a gift she could have had by bringing into life a beautiful child into our world. Sure it no doubt would have brought her career into a different dimension. The talent this child could have been especially with Don Henley as the father. Stevie has a great song with The Mac called Beautiful Child. As far as I know it wasn’t released as a single but sure packs a punch.
Kind of disappointed
Always was a fleetwood mac fan and now i feel kind of stupid for it
A fetus is not a baby. And a forced birther is a murderer.
I don’t think having a child destroys anything. It is all part of the journey.
I had been a fan for a LONG time. Great interview & at one part when she brought Christine McVie I had to cry.
