Spence vs Bundu FULL FIGHT: August 21, 2016 2

Errol “The Truth” Spence Jr. faced off against Leonard “The Lion” Bundu in a scheduled 12-round IBF Welterweight World Title Eliminator on August 21, 2016, at the Ford Amphitheater at the Coney Island Boardwalk. This fight was broadcast live on NBC as part of the Premier Boxing Champions series.

Spence Jr. took his time warming up to Bundu, focusing on throwing calculated body shots and jabs. Bundu, on the other hand, tried to apply pressure and claim dominance early in the fight.

This trend continued for the first few rounds. While Bundu remained aggressive, unofficial score cards had Spence Jr. ahead in the fight as his shots were more precise.

By the forth round, Spence Jr. became more aggressive, found his rhythm and nearly dropped Bundu at one point.

Then, near the middle of round 6, Spence Jr. dropped Bundu for the first time in the fight. Bundu recovered but was clearly hurt. Spence took advantage of this and put an end to the fight around 30 seconds later with a devastating right hook.

Errol Spence Jr. won the fight by KO at 2:06 of round 6 and remains undefeated at 21-0, 17KOs. He is now the mandatory challenger for Kell Brook who is the reigning IBF welterweight champion.

  1. First couple times Manny backs Spence up the crowd will go crazy. When they see Spence start getting to him in the middle and later rounds they’ll start to quiet down. By the time it gets to the 10th and Manny’s looking like he’s done it’ll be quiet in the arena once people realize what they’re seeing.

    1. And then the excuses will come, even though right now Manny’s cult are promising a knockout “Spencer is a tune up”

    2. @@mrmo8174 they are talking an incredible amount of $hit, I think Spence should get full credit for beating Pacquiao if he wins.

  2. This why I think people who say Spence flat footed and can’t box just don’t watch or just started watching him because he was on his toes this fight

  3. So many hate on spence, casuals. I’m a pac fan but spence is no joke, footwork doesnt matter if youve got a good grasp of distance but pac’s got the experience. Lets just see whose gloves is the god of boxing smiling upon. Cheers to both

  4. @@blackjack-ks8zn who are you talking about? Cause me and Lor T just both said that Errol can box and get on his toes

  5. I just saw round one and wandering how the hell this two ended up fighting together, what a mismatch, Spence could beat this guy blindfolded
