Bill Russell’s basketball IQ was unmatched. Everyone thought the Lakers were done without Kareem, but Russell saw that moving Magic to center would speed up the game and make it tough for the Sixers to keep up. The Lakers’ pace did end up overwhelming them. Russell was always a few steps ahead, and in his interview with Musburger, he basically predicted how the modern game would evolve.
So we can’t get this kind of basketball anymore. Why?. Fir Silver for fucks sake and get Someone who actually loves the game and doesn’t treat it like a brand and will make it like the 80s again with more offence and defense. Im fucking tired of watching players being wide open when shooting. And barley man to man guarding. or if i do see any defense. Defenders aren’t using their hands enough or half assing it.
Magic Johnson in 2024 is underrated. Unbelievable player.
