    1. this may seem silly but would this work in an apartment if i don’t having wiring for a typical doorbell ?? or would the doorbell feature not work !?

    2. You could do it. You’d need to get the plug-in adaptor and get the wire into the apartment. I’m not sure you are good with mounting something outside an apartment. You can buy a chime for it or just use your phone.

  1. Pairing it with Alexa allows you to use Alexa as your chime and will tell you someone is approaching your door and with alerts on your phone you can be in the backyard or deep in your basement and know when someone is at the door, perfect for older people.

Oh, the Blue Dots seen on the zone setting can be slid around to make a very very custom alert zone.

    1. @DIYReid do I need to do a subscription? I have it and installed it myself but does not notify me when there is motion.

    2. @DIYReid can you help me? I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, I checked the settings and I have motion setting on

  2. Thanks for the great video!

Can you only use one phone/app to get notifications? Or could we setup multiple devices to get notifications?

  3. Good video, just thinking of getting the wired but, my dilemma is that when your facing the door the bell is to the left, just wondering how it would pick up people

  4. Got this with a chime and a corner kit all three for 100$. Very budget friendly ring camera with the subscription isn’t bad. Thanks for the review!!

  5. Thank you I almost tried to buy a wall mount part because I just couldn’t figure out how it came off and decided it probably didn’t lol, so I’m very grateful to you.

  6. I can’t believe that you didn’t mention that the security screw at the bottom of the camera has to be removed to remove the faceplate
