I don’t like reduced fields, just play faster. The best players should be able to finish a round in under 5 hours. Need cuts in signature events.
Pga tour needs full field signature events. Regardless of cuts. Respect your history. Respect providing playing opportunities.
More on course rules officials would help out. I watch as officials are called over for the simplest of ‘rulings’. And even the simple visits can take a lot of time. I know that there is greater visibility with the tech everyone and their brother seem to have at their disposal and that puts more pressure on the player/caddy to get it right. Addressing issues quicker will mean more manpower. According to the few articles I read there are 10-20 officials in a typical event and possibly 40 at a Major. Seems to be partly a management issue.
Shotgun starts? LIV threesomes play in 4.5 hours. So refreshing
I want to watch Spieth vs Scheffler, not McDougal vs Hastermann.
get the caddies off the greens except to tend to the flagstick. these guys are professional golfers and must be solely responsible for reading the line and putting the ball.
