Last year I told my wife and teenage son to plant the corn 6 inches apart, not to skimp we had plenty of seed. I had furrow dug, only needed the seed dropped. Well, they did have a seed every 6 inches, as well as a couple in between. Spent a lot of time thinning out the seedlings, since even at 6 inches I only need a seedling every 12 to 18 inches. Decided to seed myself.
